- We find out who Nicolas Flamel is - we wonder if this was a big shock reading for the first time
- All the Quidditch scenes in this book take place in revolving perspectives unlike the other books

- Hermione and Ron learned the Leg Locker curse just to use on Snape

- Shay thinks Hagrid should drop an album - what would it be called?
- Mini deep dive on Neville and how he is such a relatable character
- Malfoy is able to find out insecurities and use them against his enemies, while Neville (and Luna in the future books) seem to do the opposite
- Neville is the one true Gryffindor
- Neville has less support compared to Harry & co (through his family, professors, and sometimes friends) but still always comes through in the end
