Potter Revisited Episode #46 Safety Second, Quidditch First AKA Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Chapter 9 "Grim Defeat"

• This chapter really shows how much Hogwarts values students safety
• The students are having a slumber party in the Great Hall which Shay loves
• Percy gets a little bit of authority and ruins everyones fun
• Ron and Hermione mention what a coincidence it is that Sirius broke in on Halloween when they weren't in the common room - potential foreshadowing? 
• The beginning of Hermione being the only one to read Hogwarts: A History
• Apparently Flitch can restore paintings and portraits 
• Harry eavesdrops on Dumbledore and Snape - Snape is trying to bring up his theory that Lupin is helping Sirius 
• Is Dumbledore too trusting? Tori and Shay discuss
• Sir Cadogan is the new portrait for Gryffindor Tower which is chaotic 
• Lots of students have different theories on how Sirius broke in - Hannah's about the shrub is probably the closest 
• Harry notices teachers are paying more attention to him after the break in - even Percy is checking in
• Did Percy know why he was checking in on Harry? 
• McGonagall is the only true adult in this series, checking in on Harry and letting him know what is actually happening 
• Is so fun seeing McGonagall throw common sense away for a Quidditch win 
• We get our first reference to Cedric Diggory - Fred and George seem jealous of the attention he gets 
• Even if real Quidditch games play during all types of weather and events, shouldn't a school inter-house league be treated differently? Where are the safety precautions for students? 
• Is magic able to control the weather at all?
• Snape is covering Lupin for DADA - let the games begin 
• Is Snape trying to imply that Lupin isn't really ill? Did he only cover Lupin's class to insult Lupin to the students?
• Supply Teachers going against the current curriculum set by the teacher is so stressful 
• Shay loves how snarky Snape is, and brings up the point it is probably good to have students learning about Werewolves if one is going to be at the school
• +1 Snape Sucks for insulting Hermione in front of the entire class
• We discuss Ron defending Hermione VS how it is changed in the film
• Snape sets an essay on how to recognize Werewolves and Kill them - is he wanting to kill Lupin? Do wizards actually kill Werewolves? 
• Lots of foreshadowing to Lupin and Snape's past
• Crookshanks tries to sneak into the Boys' dorm when Harry is leaving for Quidditch - why isn't Hermione keeping a better eye on him? 
• It is storming so bad during the Quidditch game Harry can't see through his glasses - Hermione comes eventually with a charm to repel the rain - why didn't Oliver or any of the older students know to do this? 
• When the dementors storm the field, Harry hears his mother begging for his life which is so heartbreaking 
• This whole episode with Harry is crazy as all his friend and team thought he had died - yet all he asks when he wakes up is who won the match 
• We get a little bit of Cedric's character as he was trying to call for a rematch when he saw Harry had fallen off his broom due to the Dementors
• Harry gets double bad news when finding out his broom had been destroyed by the Whomping Willow - RIP Nimbus 2000
• The broom was obviously sentimental to Harry but why does he wait so long to order a new broom? 
• How much do brooms actually cost in Muggle currency? 
• Snape Sucks total for Chapter 9: 1
