Potter Revisited Episode #61 Frank Bryce and the... Oops! He's Dead AKA Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Chapter 1 "The Riddle House"

• We begin Goblet of Fire! We are both so excited for this book and the darker tone the series takes from here 
• We answer our first listener question - why do we think Harry is an idiot?
• Tori brings up some fun GoF facts, including a Weasley character that was eventually scrapped from the book
• Tori brings up a childhood memory of reading this book for a book report - and her mom not believing she could finish it in time
• This is one of the few chapters we get that is not through Harry's perspective and Shay loves it
• We get the life story of Muggle Frank Bryce as well as some backstory on the Riddle family
• Tori wonders how Voldemort is currently existing 
• Wormtail is basically keeping Voldemort alive yet he is treated so poorly - it really shows how little self esteem Peter has that he just doesn't leave
• Voldemort mentions his faithful servant at Hogwarts - foreshadowing the next mystery for the readers to solve
• The tone in the first chapter already is a lot darker than the first three books 
• We are introduced to Frank and then he is murdered - does this foreshadowing more deaths to come?
• Shay loves this chapter and they way it is written
• Snape Sucks total for Chapter 1: 0
